The 2025 Delta Cruise
B&W Resort, Isleton CA – October 2nd, to October 5th
ITS DELTA CRUISING TIME!!
Delta Cruise 2025
I know we’re only halfway through our boating season this year, and what a great season it’s been, but I want to make sure everyone saves the date for our last formal boating event of the year.
The 2025 Delta Cruise will take place on the first complete weekend of October, 10/2 - 5/2025.
Any of you that come early to this event, can kick it off Thursday night, 10/2/25, with the wine down pizza night at Willow Berm Marina hosted by Matt & Chris Christian. This event starts at 5:30 pm and is limited to the first 45 that sign up for it. So, when the sign ups come out, be sure to sign up early.
Friday is when most of the boats start arriving. Many members will launch their boats and head out to enjoy the Delta waterways on their own and lunch at any of the local restaurants. If you partake in this, don’t eat too much and be sure to be back at B&W Resort for the Woody Whoopie on the levee. This starts at 5:30. Bring your own entrée to BBQ, a side dish to share with the group, your own beverages and be ready to enjoy some great socializing with old and new friends. All the grills, charcoal, utensils and paper products are provided.
Saturday, 10/4/25, kicks off with coffee on the levee at 0730. There will be a skippers meeting at 0900 and boats will fire up around 0945 to head out on the famous poker run. As you cruise the waterways of the Delta, there will be card stops along the route for you to pick up cards and hope for the best poker hand. Prizes will be awarded at the Saturday night dinner.
At about 11:15, we should start arriving at the beautiful Island of Grindstone Joe’s Association. Once again, the wonderful caretaker and members of the association will welcome our boats & members in to enjoy their Island. Be sure to bring your own favorite picnic lunch and beverages. BBQ grills and charcoal will be provided but you will need to bring your own paper products and utensils. There is a big lawn to enjoy or play games on and you can walk around the Island enjoying the scenery. Early afternoon, take a leisurely cruise back to B&W on your own, wind down and get ready for a fabulous BBQ dinner on the back lawn of B&W Resort.
At 5:30 pm, start meeting and socializing with your boating friends. Remember to bring your own beverages. At 6:15 pm, a catered dinner will be served by Park’s Barks BBQ. Last year this event completely sold out so sign up early, once the sign up comes out.
Sunday morning will have a leisurely start. At about 11:00 am, boats will be firing up and heading out on a yet to be determined route river cruise. We almost always end up at an ice cream or lunch stop to enjoy, before heading back to haul out your boats.
The sign up for this event is posted on the website and remember, space is limited, so sign up early. If you plan to keep a boat at B&W Resort, you need to call them and get on the waiting list (916)777-6161. Don’t worry if you’re on the list, they have been able to accommodate all of the boats on the list for the last several years and even had available slips left over.
For accommodations, B&W Resort cabins are generally completely booked, but here are some additional suggestions to check into:
Delta Paradise Island – (916)777-5000
